About the painting “The power of thought”
A monochrome surreal portrait in which thought becomes space. At eye level the woman’s face flows into a mountain landscape with a lake and fir trees, while a sleek bob and black turtleneck emphasise the graphic quality of the image. The painting is about how our thoughts shape the world around us.
Technique and details
The artist merges portrait and landscape into one composition: the horizon line runs through the gaze, and fine grey tones convey mist, water and light. Painted in 2023. Size: 130 × 110 cm; materials: flax, oil paints. This is a one-of-a-kind original by Ukrainian artist Natali Kokhnichenko.
In the interior
This large 130 × 110 cm work suits a study, library, living room or office — wherever depth and focus are valued. Its restrained black-and-white palette pairs with any interior colour scheme.
