Imagination

About the painting “Imagination”

A surreal portrait in which a woman and a city become one. A cathedral dome rises above her face, and the silhouettes of palaces and embankments emerge in her features. Her hair blows in the wind, and her lips glow with a vivid raspberry accent. The painting is about imagination, travel and the places that stay with us forever.

Technique and details

Pastel grey-pink tones of sky and architecture flow into the skin tones of the face; the striking colour of the lips becomes the focal point of the composition. Painted in 2021. Size: 100 × 130 cm; materials: canvas, oil paints. This is a one-of-a-kind original by Ukrainian artist Natali Kokhnichenko.
