About the painting “To See More”
A large female portrait in which the gaze becomes the main subject. A face with expressive grey-green eyes and a gentle smile emerges from a swirl of curls painted in pastel shades of turquoise, pink, lilac and gold. The title says it all: to see more, you have to look deeper — beyond appearance, into the woman’s character and mood. This work is featured on the cover of the artist’s website.
Technique and details
The face is rendered with careful realism, while the hair is built up with loose, expressive brushstrokes, creating a vivid contrast between stillness and movement. Painted in 2021. Size: 170 × 110 cm; materials: linen, oil paints. This is a one-of-a-kind original by Ukrainian artist Natali Kokhnichenko.
