About the painting “Secrets of the forest”
A forest landscape in close-up: larch branches with soft needles and cones — a young green one and mature brown ones. Behind them, tree trunks and sunny clearings bathed in golden-green light. The painting conveys the silence of the forest, the scent of pine and the calm of nature.
Technique and details
The cones are painted in detail, every scale given volume, while the background is softer and more generalised, creating depth like a photographer’s shallow depth of field. Painted in 2023. Size: 80 × 100 cm; materials: canvas, oil paints. This is a one-of-a-kind original by Ukrainian artist Natali Kokhnichenko.
In the interior
The natural green palette of this 80 × 100 cm painting brings a sense of calm to a living room, bedroom, study or country house. It harmonises with wood, linen, stone and eco-style interiors.
