Architecture

About the painting “Architecture”

An architectural subject: a baroque building with a majestic dome, columns, statues and stucco, seen in a dynamic perspective from below. The work recalls a page from an artist’s travel sketchbook — light, precise and full of admiration for classical European architecture.

Technique and details

The painting is executed in a monochrome graphic manner: fine lines and soft grey shadows render every detail of the façade, while the unfinished edges give the composition lightness. Painted in 2021. Size: 60 × 80 cm; materials: canvas, oil paints. This is a one-of-a-kind original by Ukrainian artist Natali Kokhnichenko.

In the interior

At 60 × 80 cm, it fits naturally into a study, library, or an architect’s or designer’s office, as well as a neoclassical or loft living room. A wonderful gift for lovers of architecture and travel.
