About the painting “Peony flower”
A single large peony against a deep black background — lush, tender, creamy pink. Its petals unfold in layers like silk, and the slender stem with a leaf emphasises the flower’s elegance. The painting is about femininity, beauty in full bloom and quiet dignity.
Technique and details
The black background creates dramatic lighting reminiscent of classical still life; soft transitions from white to pink give the petals translucency. Painted in 2024. Size: 100 × 80 cm; materials: canvas, linen, oil paints. This is a one-of-a-kind original by Ukrainian artist Natali Kokhnichenko.
In the interior
At 100 × 80 cm, the painting is a refined accent for a bedroom, living room, dressing room or beauty salon. The black background stands out on light walls, and the powdery tones of the flower suit soft and classic interiors.
